A Bit About Me
Ahmed Ismail is a highly regarded and popular young Nubian artist dedicated to preserving the Nubian language and musical heritage.

He began his career with the goal of reviving interest in the Nubian language, one of the world’s oldest, believing that music is the most powerful way to connect new generations with their roots.
​
In addition to performing traditional Nubian songs, Ahmed Ismail sings poems by renowned Nubian poets and a wide variety of melodies that celebrate the richness of Nubian culture. He also performs rhythmic religious songs, promoting the core Nubian values of honesty, generosity, affection, and community spirit.

In 2003, Ahmed Ismail received an award from WIPO (the World Intellectual Property Organization) in Geneva, Switzerland, recognizing his artistic and cultural contributions. He also represented Nubia in the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum, showcasing the beauty and depth of Nubian music on a national stage.
